What is personal data and what is personal data processing?

Personal data is any information that can directly or indirectly be linked to a living natural person. For example, images and audio recordings may be personal data even if no names are stated. Encrypted data and electronic identifiers (such as IP addresses) are personal data when they can be linked to individuals.

Processing of personal data is any operation performed on personal data. Every action involving personal data is considered processing, whether automated or not. Common examples are collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, processing, transfer, and deletion.

What personal data do we collect and why?

To handle quotations and orders, we store certain personal data in our order management system, email, and file servers.

The legal basis is performance of contract. Collecting your contact details is required for us to fulfill our obligations.

We retain the data for as long as a contract is in force and up to 7 years afterwards to handle potential claims and legal obligations. If no contract is entered into, we delete the data after 2 years.

  • First and last name
  • Contact details (address, email, and phone number)
  • Company information (company name and registration number)

Where do we process your personal data?

We always aim to process your personal data within the EU/EEA, and all our own IT systems are located within the EU/EEA. During support and maintenance, data may in some cases be transferred outside the EU/EEA.

Regardless of where your personal data is processed, we apply legal, technical, and organizational safeguards to ensure a protection level equivalent to the EU/EEA.

Cookies

We do not collect personal data through cookies or similar tracking technologies on this website.

How do we protect your personal data?

We use IT systems and organizational security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data.
